If we are what we eat, we should ask ourself- "is this good for me?"
Here are some tips of eating right.
1. Eat in moderation. Especially during holidays, there are plenty of foods. Eat only the amount you regularly consume and don't overeat.
2. Drink Water! The doctors recommend drinking about 8 glasses of 8 ounces a day.
" It is a natural diuretic and replenishes your body with liquid at the same time."
3. Eat fruits and vegetables. They are nature's snack food that contains vitamins and minerals our body needs to function properly. A great source of fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C and antioxidants, and many other nutrients. It is recommended that we eat between five and nine helpings of fruits and vegetables a day. A mixture of colors of fruits and vegetables get a healthy mix of vitamins and nutrients.
4. Eat Lean Meat! Eating lean meat is healthy because it can reduces our fat intake that could raise the cholesterol level. We should look for organic meat that comes from cattle that eat grass and are not given hormones for growth.
